Getting to know Melanie and the Mind Body Spirit Alignment Method

I created the mind body spirit alignment method (MBSA) using various different approaches to health that I have learned over the past 35 years. I chose to learn the body from the inside out beginning with the bones as an X ray Technologist. This is the framework that your body sticks to. It is the pole in the middle of the tent, without it you would collapse.

Next, I learned about the internal structures that allow the body to function, I did this by being an ultrasound tech for 25 years. Actually, seeing the organs and understanding the function of them and how they affect the whole system is fascinating.

About 12 years ago I turned to the main structure, the soft tissue, the muscles, tendons, fascia, nerves that tell the body when to contract and when to relax through massage therapy. These help propel your body from one place to another.

About 7 years ago I was fortunate enough to learn more about fascia. This one opened my eyes to a whole new world. I will forever be grateful to John F Barnes for changing my life in such a profound way. Not only does it cover every part of the body in one 360° movable spider web like structure, it is even in the cellular membranes which is what allows the nutrients and information to go in and out of the cell. Without a healthy functioning cell, you DIE. We as humans tend to think we are smart and take this incredible body for granted but without cells, microbes, viruses and bacteria you would not be alive. More research is being done, but

a theory is that our consciousness is housed in the fascial system. The health of your fascial system is in my opinion what dictates the rest of your health.

Let's take a breath right here, that was a lot to take in.

Let's recap a summary so far, we have bones, organs, muscles, nerves, blood vessels, cells, and fascia. Moving on let's reverse that order into fascia, cells, blood vessels, nerves, muscles, organs, bones. This is how we are formed from an egg and a sperm to an intelligent being. As an ultrasound tech I was fortunate to witness the process of a tiny little mass of cells at 5 weeks to a small pulse at six weeks when the heart began to beat. To a 12 week fetus that has all of the organs limbs and begins to have reflexes, to a baby at 28 weeks that has facial expressions; in my opinion they react to outside stimuli and have a functioning consciousness. Bones are the last thing in development to solidify. The fact that we get through all of the stages of development the majority of the time with no issue is truly a God thing.

Take another breath and let that digest a second.

The second part of this is about the unseen part of life, what makes everything we just talked about function? The last thing I have been learning about in the last 12 years is energy, consciousness, spirit, higher self - the outer bodies (aura), the mental, emotional and spiritual body.

This is where things get a little murky because quite frankly it is not well understood or talked about up until now. Not sure if you have noticed but since about 1987 and even a bit in the 60s higher consciousness has been explored in new ways.

So again, let's bring it back to the body to what you see and feel- what operates it? When we die our essence leaves, your physical shell is all that is left behind. This essence is what people may call our spirit, our soul. What happens after you die is a whole other topic we can explore another day.

Having a deeper understanding of what runs our body can help us to heal our bodies. The unseen bodies called the emotional mental body -wrap around the physical body like another skin. I have the gift to be able to actually feel those invisible bodies. I believe they are like layers of Philo dough, as we live life good and bad another thin layer of information about an experience is added on, this can become twisted and create tension in the body. Ever notice how flexible and fluid a newborn is? This is because they have no layers yet. As we grow the layers add density, weight and tension.

Over time this density gets to be so heavy and tight we can't move the body as easily, the legs are heavy, the spine compresses; we begin to shrink or bend over like we have a backpack of rocks to carry. What if we could unwind layer by layer that density. Letting go of those stored experiences-what would we feel like then? MBS Alignment addresses all of the layers, so that you feel more flexible, free, organs function better and life shifts because you are not holding onto the old patterns anymore.

This is where things can get a little complicated or hard to grasp so open your mind and let the other part we just talked about sink in, later it may make more sense.

We are going to approach this area from multiple angles quantum physics, quantum mechanics, string theory, and unified field is where we are headed.

Don't worry I'm not a science nerd completely yet but I do find all of this very interesting.

First question where does thought come from? How do thoughts run your body? See I told you we were going into the unknown here. I personally find this fascinating the more I understand this, the better I understand myself and my life.

Have you ever been in a group where everyone is talking and you catch part of a conversation, a thought pops in your head out of context and you say... And the others say wow we were just talking about that. What just happened is you tapped into the unified field through your consciousness. The question is how often do we do this and are we aware of it?

This is a simple example of how our consciousness works in a unified field of thought. So, this gets me to thinking how many times our thoughts are really only ours and are they created by us or are they given to us through this field. I think it's a combination because we have the law of free will on this planet. In some ways I think information is just out there floating in the ethers and based on choices you make about where you want your life to go then the thoughts kind of filter into your area in the field and you then pick them up. These thoughts are part of the mental body that needs healing too. We haven't gone over this yet, but you will probably hear me refer back to it a lot on my podcasts that everything is energy, everything is a frequency. I will be exploring more about consciousness in other podcasts. Be sure to subscribe so that you'll get notified when the new episodes are live.

Another gift that I have is something called Clairsentience which is a person who may experience another’s emotions, ailments, or injuries. This gift, as with other natural talents, is also a curse in some ways because I can feel things in my body that are not truly mine that come from other people or other situations. Over the last five or six years I have learned to distinguish these feelings so that I do not take on the pain or discomfort of others. In my daily practice I use this gift to be able to treat other people's bodies using this intuition. I can zero in to areas that are stiff or not functioning well and be able to find not only the physical aspect of the area but any emotional or mental aspects that may be connected to that area of the body.

This is what helps me perform a very different type of therapy than you might typically find with massage or chiropractic or acupuncture. When we combine all of those aspects together, meaning the physical, mental, and emotional parts, then a deeper, more complete healing can occur in the body. So not only will you feel better in your body but mentally and emotionally your life will shift and change as well. This is what I call holistic healing. As a side note you are a completely new human being every seven years on a cellular basis. Therefore, when you heal those areas at the level we're talking about, you will create healthy cells to replace those that were damaged or hurt before by using this MBSA method. I have been treating myself as much as I can using this technique, as well as some outside help from other healers, but I can tell you that at the age of 55 my body feels more aligned and straighter than it has in probably 50 years. My chronic swayback is gone, I'm now able to rotate my head easier, I am more flexible in my hips, and I can walk on hard surfaces and my feet don't hurt. Hurray for the small things in life, like walking on the ceramic tile floor in the middle of the night with no pain. My mind is able to be brought into a calm state very easily due to meditation and taking the pressure off of the brain also helps it get into a calm state, this is my theory I don't have any scientific proof on that.

So, I'm going to wrap this one up for now and hope that that gives you a little more insight into who I am and how I practice the mind body spirit alignment method. I would be happy to serve you!
